Primary Instructor:

A survey and examination of the essential aspects of the music business including performing rights agencies, copyright, licensing, music publishing, contracts, royalties, and distribution.

PAT 472 provides a “nuts and bolts” approach to understanding how the music industry works. A manager or executive must be well-versed in the history and practices of this ever evolving business.

Case studies from a variety of musical genres.
