Primary Instructor:

This course emphasizes the scientific processes and principles behind global environmental issues. Topics include global change, climate, ecosystems, biogeography, biodiversity, soil-water-air pollution, environmental health, energy systems and their environmental consequences, and environmental policy.

Intended Audience:

The course material provides an introduction to environmental sciences for potential science majors, but it is also relevant and accessible to non-science majors who wish to be well-informed global citizens or would simply like to understand the environment and the scientific processes operating in their surroundings.
