Primary Instructor:

MODGREEK 102 develops acquisition of the Greek language used today in the four language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing at the advanced beginning level. It provides opportunity for practicing these within the framework of specific themes and functions in various basic situations. Students are given the opportunity to acquire an understanding of Modern Greek culture and society and acquaint themselves with some representative texts, songs, images and other authentic cultural materials of relevance.

Weekly quizzes Midterm and Final Portfolio of daily homework exercises

Intended Audience:

Prerequisites are MODGREEK 101 or Placement by U-M Modern Greek Placement Test.

MODGREEK 102 is a continuation of the MODGREEK 101 introductory course and can taken by anyone who has completed MODGREEK 101 or possesses a functional vocabulary and adequate language awareness as guaranteed by a placement test taken through the U-M Modern Greek Program.

Class Format:

Four meetings per week.
