Optimization methods (linear, integer, nonlinear, sequential) concepts and application in the operations of marine systems. Forecasting methods (ARMA, Fuzzy sets, Neural Net) concepts and application to shipping and shipbuilding decisions. Economics of merchant shipbuilding and ship scrapping. Elements of maritime management
