Primary Instructor:

This lecture course focuses on psychological research with women and girls, addressing such topics as gender and racial stereotypes, harassment in the workplace, intimate relationships, motherhood, violence against women, and activism related to gender and racial injustice. Students read and interact with a range of sources, including empirical research, blog writing, podcasts, and other media forms.

Course Requirements:

Attendance in lecture and section is required. Students will complete weekly quizzes, several short writing assignments, and two exams over the course of the semester. Costs include textbook ($51-100); other readings are online. Textbooks will also be available through the library reserve system.
