Students will explore how French food culture developed through the centuries, examine differences in food-related behaviors, reflect on the importance (or not) of the government regarding distribution and consumption of food, as well as the importance of globalization and its effects.

Assignments: readings and videos; vocabulary, grammar and content quizzes; in-class writing and journals; speaking evaluations; tests and final exam.
