This seminar serves as an introduction for doctoral students to the subfield of U.S. politics. Doctoral students in other programs may take the course with the instructor's permission. Classic and contemporary readings focus on the study of "political behavior" public opinion, participation, and voting), the study of national political institutions, and other topics.
