Primary Instructor:

The goal of the course is to expose students to real problems and help them learn key aspects of effective statistical consulting. These include: a) understanding commonly used models, methods, and assumptions; b) appreciating the sensitivity of the methods to model assumptions and robustness properties; c) engaging in real examples of statistical consulting; d) learning how to formulate problems; and e) communicating findings in a clear and concise fashion.
