Continuing Course. Y grade can be reported at end of the first-term to indicate work in progress. At the end of the second term, the final grade is posted for both term's elections.

Description

After completing PPE 401, students work with a thesis supervisor to develop their ideas into a thesis of appropriate length. They defend their thesis at an oral exam, conducted by their advisor and a second reader from a different PPE-affiliated department. . The award of the honors degree requires successful defense of the thesis and the level of honors (honors, high honors, highest honors) is determined on the basis of thesis and defense.

Course Requirements:

Students write their thesis in consultation with a thesis advisor who meets with them throughout the term.

Intended Audience:

Upper-level undergraduate students, declared Honors concentrators in PPE.

Class Format:

Student will consult with advisor on an individual schedule.
