A 300- (or 400-) level production course in the relevant emphasized area: FTVM 300, 301, 302, or 306; and permission of instructor.

Description

Students will make music videos, with permission and active participation from the musicians whose work they are expressing visually.

Course Requirements:

Grading will be based on a treatment (proposing a music video), participation in class, and students' work on music-video projects during the semester. It is expected that students will find musician collaborators willing to have their songs adapted and appear on screen.

Intended Audience:

Students interested in creative collaboration with classmates and musicians to make music videos. Students should have already had some experience or basic instruction in lighting, camera use and editing.

Class Format:

The course will meet twice per week for two hours per meeting.
