Description

This intensive introduction to elementary Latin covers the essentials of Latin 101 and Latin 102 and prepares students to advance rapidly toward upper-level courses. Students will learn the essential morphological, grammatical, and syntactical structures of the language and will build a core vocabulary. Learning will be enhanced by oral activities. Through readings and discussion, students will be introduced to significant aspects of Roman history and culture.

Course Requirements:

Students with a serious interest in Latin who want to advance rapidly towards upper level courses

Intended Audience:

Preparation of daily assignments, frequent quizzes, a midterm, and final exam

Class Format:

Four meetings per week (recitation)
