Description

Students will be introduced to the history of nuclear-material safeguards, nuclear-safeguards techniques, international safeguards policy, and currently used neutron and gamma-ray measurement systems and techniques. Students will attend weekly lectures to prepare for a week-long training offered at the Safeguards Laboratory (SL) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
