Through course readings and individual ethnographic projects, students examine and practice qualitative research methods and modes of analysis distinctive to Anthropology, including participant-observation, interview, work with key informants, and others. Students will also explore methods of representing culture for academic and public audiences through ethnographic writing, film, and graphic forms.
