Description

The first of two foundation drawing studio courses, Drawing: Observation introduces students to the fundamentals of drawing, perceptive seeing, and visual thinking. It promotes respect for drawing as a critical component of visual expression as well as a platform for intellectual inquiry and communication. This course affirms the role of the human hand in effecting the convergence between thought and making, preparing students to consider more complex, mediated approaches as their practices gradually mature.
