Description

Most of our planet’s surface is covered by oceans and this course engages with how we study life in this very different environment. Major topics include the physics of living in seawater and its biological implications, the enormous diversity of marine lifeforms, how major marine ecosystems and biological communities function, and how these functions are bring increasingly impacted by human activities.
