Description

The primary focus of this class will be canonical short stories, read and discussed on a weekly basis, as well as a long excerpt of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, which will be the topic of the final paper. You will be asked to write three essays, two short and one longer, and for those essays, you will be allowed unlimited revision, where instead of being graded, your writing will be edited until it reaches an ‘A’. The idea here is to greatly enhance writing and analytical skills in a format designed for student self-sufficiency and creativity.
