Description

This course examines how landscapes and surface environments evolve through time. In addition to covering the fundamentals of soil science and geomorphology, this course looks a variety of topics where soils impact our day to day lives including agriculture, sustainability, and environmental justice. Depending on the status of the Covid-19 pandemic, there may be weekend fieldtrips as well as near-campus trips (e.g., to the Arb).

Course Requirements:

There will be no in-person or take home exams.

Intended Audience:

Majors in Earth and Environmental Sciences or Program in the Environment, and upper division undergraduate or graduate students in related disciplines like Anthropology or Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
