This course introduces students to ancient Greek vocabulary, morphology, and syntax. As we build this foundation, we also begin to read short selections of ancient Greek (e.g., Plato, Euripides) so that students, as soon as possible, can experience what it is like to read these ancient authors in their original language and can begin to explore the culture that produced these extraordinary texts.
