This is an introduction to psychology as a broad survey course which explores the various theoretical bases for the understanding of human behavior. Students will learn about the biological processes of behavior, sensation and perception, intelligence and testing, learning and memory as well as examine the theories of personality, psychopathology, cognitive and social development. Practical applications and contemporary topics will also be explored.
Course Requirements:
Requirements include weekly chapter tests, weekly online homework assignments, 2 written assignments of about 4-5 pages in length, and attendance/participation in weekly discussion sections. Attendance at two 90-minute lectures per week is expected.
