Description

The RC Chinese Music ensemble course introduces students to Chinese instrumental performance, enhances music appreciation, and encourages cultural exchange in an open manner among the students and the extended community. A variety of instruments are offered for study, including Erhu, Pipa, Guzheng, Dizi, Ruan and Xiao. Students will be able to choose one instrument on which to study at least six musical pieces throughout the semester. In addition to individual and ensemble performance instruction, students are also invited to form an understanding of the cultural content behind each piece.
