Description

STATS 412 introduces topics in probability and statistics for engineering and the sciences, with emphasis on understanding fundamental concepts, interpretation, and communication. This course includes an introduction to probability theory; statistical models, especially sampling models; point estimation; confidence intervals and hypothesis tests; and regression analysis.
