Tilt at the windmill of a big fat amazing novel.
Cervantes’s novel Don Quixote appeared in 1605 and was so successful it spawned a fake sequel, and then a real one, by Cervantes, in 1615. And it’s been inspiring people ever since. It’s been sort of blowing their minds, too—so much so that some writers have called it the School for Novelists. In this class, we’ll get Quixotic with novels, films, and other fun things from around the world--including a graphic novel (Paul Auster’s City of Glass), a Chinese short story, and an ancient Indian epic.
Oh, and reading the novel will make you crazy. Hopefully about Don Quixote.
