About the Graduate Program
Thank you for your interest in our graduate program! We offer exciting opportunities for your Ph.D. with strong research programs available in Analytical, Chemical Biology, Inorganic, Materials, Organic, and Physical Chemistry. More than 250 excellent graduate students are already pursuing projects in 50 some research groups.
The Chemistry Department's location on the University of Michigan's central campus fosters many productive interdisciplinary interactions. The Biophysics program is in the same building. Next door are the Departments of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Physics. and the program in Applied Physics, as well as the Schools of Natural Resources and Pharmacy. The Life Sciences Institute and Medical School are just a few blocks away. The College of Engineering is a short bus ride away.
