Chinese Studies degree programs at the University of Michigan
The University of Michigan has a number of opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to learn more about China.
Chinese Studies Opportunities for Undergraduate Students:
Undergraduate students interested in learning about studying Chinese language or culture, should contact the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures (734-764-8286) in order to make an appointment with an undergraduate advisor.
- Undergraduates in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts are encouraged to consult departmental advisors about appropriate electives, about introducing an Asian component into a concentration plan focused in another department, as well as about developing a plan of study leading to a concentration in Asian Studies.
- Undergraduate Students from all UM Schools and Colleges can choose to elect a minor in either Asian Languages and Cultures or Asian Studies to enhance primary concentrations such as Business Administration, History of Art, Engineering, Economics, History, or Political Science, etc.
