U-M Classics is Going GREEN this Fall!

In response to our changing times, the Classics Department is making the Convivium newsletter
available electronically starting with our upcoming Fall 2009 issue. An e-mail notification will be
sent to your e-mail address once the newsletter is available on our Classics web site. Many of our
recipients already have a preferred e-mail address on file with the University. However, if you do
not have an e-mail address on record with us, please forward your preferred e-mail address to
classics@umich.edu. We will promptly add your e-mail to the Classical Studies’ e-mail distribution
list. If for any reason you have difficulty with internet access, please contact our main office by
phone at (734) 764.0360 to request a printed copy of the newsletter.

This change will save trees and money while we continue to share our news and discoveries
about antiquity with our alums and friends.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Chair

William E. Upjohn Exhibit Wing Grand Opening, Kelsey Museum

The William E. Upjohn Exhibit Wing opened to the public with a celebration on Nov. 1, 2009. A gift of $8.5 million by the late Edwin and Mary Meader in 2003, provided funds to construct the new 20,000 square-foot wing, named in honor of Mary’s grandfather, William E. Upjohn.
