    Lecturer of Communication Studies. Professor Sparr teaches courses in communications law, including Freedom of Expression and the First Amendment, Internet, Society, and the Law, and Media Ethics and Society. She graduated with Highest Distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law where she was an executive editor of the Nebraska Law Review. Prior to arriving at Michigan, Professor Sparr taught at Hawaii Pacific University. Her professional experience includes serving as in-house counsel for Sprint. Her research includes analysis of the FCC's regulation of indecency and the implications on free speech, free speech and public events and public spaces on the Internet. Her work has been published in Communication Law and Policy, the University of North Carolina's First Amendment Law Review, Communication Law Review and Loyola Law School's Entertainment Law Review.
