  • About

I specialize in the analysis of television, web series, and social media specifically applications of mediated subjectivity and postmodern blackness. I attended (and recently graduated from) Wesleyan College, during which I developed an interest in the applications of convergence culture, transmedia narratives, and the concept(s) of text/hypertext. I am currently focused on the ways in which Black web content creators are responding to mainstream portrayals of blackness in order to construct their own reality and identities in online space(s). This research will theorize on the ability of web series to revolutionize not only depictions of marginalized groups but the realm of television itself.
