Jana is a PhD student in Communication Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her research interests include the role of narratives in health communication and health-related decision-making, as well as the use of new technologies to reduce health disparities among minority populations, particularly American Indians. As an Undergraduate at Cornell, she completed a study on access to and use of the Internet and mobile technology for health information among Hopi Indians living on the Hopi Reservation in northeastern Arizona.
