The diversity of the Communication Studies program really helped me prepare for my career. I use critical thinking skills that I learned during Professor Traugott's communications statistics class on a daily basis.
I grew up loving television, so for me the obvious choice for a major was Communication Studies. I am so fortunate to have been able to merge my studies and my passion into a very rewarding, challenging and fun career.

Communication Studies at University of Michigan allowed me to study what I love so today I can do what I love! Now I am paying it forward with the Kara Sundlun House Scholarship for aspiring broadcasters.
The opportunity this university has provided me, the education, the experience, the connections, the friendships and the life lessons I learned at Michigan are a big reason I was able to achieve my dream.
