Summer Bridge Course Assistant
CSP is seeking highly qualified students to serve as Math or Writing Course Assistants (CA) in this year’s Summer Bridge Program. CAs function as tutors working 10-15 hours (max) per week. Duties include attending the course to which the CS is assigned (Writing 100, English 125, Mathematics 103 or Mathematics 104) and facilitating evening workshops.
Students interested in this position should have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in writing or mathematics courses (depending on the position for which you’re applying). Students should also have the ability to articulate what they know about the subject matter and the pedagogy of the course. Students who have taken math and writing courses with CSP are highly desired.
The position starts July 1, 2015 and ends August 20, 2015.The position pays $10 per hour and does not include room and board. There will be one orientation meeting prior to the starting date in June.
