Harry has been involved in working with students about academic and career issues as an administrator and advisor for most of his career. In addition, for many years, he was an administrator of programs in academic standards at Ohio State University, Marygrove College in Detroit and at UM's School of Education and School of Kinesiology. In 2004 he joined CSP as an academic advisor and lecturer. He has taught at Michigan for many years in the undergraduate and graduate program in Kinesiology and in CSP.
As an administrator and researcher he has specialized in issues of retention, specifically institution strategies and policies that encourage students to complete their degrees and in the lives of student athletes. His focus as an administrator and researcher is first generation college students. He is a former collegiate athlete. He has presented regionally, nationally and internationally about those topics. He is a sailor, a collegiate athletic official and a cook.
