The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan invites applications for the Turner Postdoctoral Fellowship, a highly competitive fellowship in any field of Earth science.
The Department is interested in innovative research proposals that can be pursued in collaboration with a faculty member. Applicants are encouraged to contact prospective hosts in advance to discuss areas of common interest.
The Turner Postdoc has an annual salary of $55,000, discretionary research funds totaling $10,000, and a generous benefits package. The fellowship is awarded for a one-year period, with an anticipated extension for a second year.
Application: A complete application includes: a curriculum vitae, a research proposal (5 pages maximum), and the names & addresses of at least three references.
Deadline: Applications are due January 15, 2013.
