Mark Harms founded Global Leisure Partners (GLP) in 2004. GLP is a leading independent provider of specialist advisory and principal investment services to the global leisure industry. From 2005 to date, GLP advised on and co-invested in over US$50 billion of completed transactions. Its sector focus includes gaming, health & fitness, hospitality, travel & tourism, as well as branded consumer products & services, retailing, media & entertainment. GLP has assembled a network of 60 Operating Advisors providing due diligence support, incremental portfolio company management and board talent, as well as co-investment capital. GLP has as minority institutional investors affiliates of Goldman Sachs and Oaktree Capital.

Prior to establishing GLP, Harms was a Managing Director at Oppenheimer and CIBC World Markets from 1987 to 2004, managing its consumer investment banking businesses in the United States and Europe. Not-for-profit activities include roles as Vice Chairman of the World Travel & Tourism Council, and as a Chatham House William Pitt Fellow.
