  Shaun McRae is an assistant professor of economics. His research is at the intersection of industrial organization, energy economics, and development economics. In his research, he studies the effect of unreliable electricity supply on low-income households, and how government policies influence investment in electricity distribution networks in Latin America. He also investigates the extent to which firms exercise market power in wholesale and retail electricity markets. Shaun teaches energy and environmental economics at an undergraduate and graduate level. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University.
