When is the Department’s Commencement Celebration and where will it be held?
Friday, May 2, at the Power Center. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Program starts at 8 p.m.
Who is invited to attend?
All undergraduate students who have applied for graduation by February 20 and all graduating MAE and PhD students will receive an email invitation.
What if I am an undergraduate and don’t apply for graduation until after February 20?
You are welcome to join the Department’s celebration even if you don’t apply for graduation by February 20, however, in order to receive an invitation you will need to email Olga Mustata at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What if I graduated in December or will graduate in August?
You are welcome to join the Department’s celebration, however, in order to receive an invitation you will need to email Olga Mustata at email@example.com.
Do I need tickets for this event?

Is there a limit on the number of guests I may bring?
How long is the program?
You should plan on the celebration program lasting between 1½ to 2 hours.

What does the program include?
The program begins with a faculty and graduate processional into the auditorium. Following brief welcome remarks and commencement address, each graduate will have his/her name announced as they walk across stage (yes, this is definitely a photo op moment!) to receive a congratulatory certificate.
What is the dress?
Academic attire is required for graduates.
