Research interests
I am interested in various aspects of disease ecology and population genetics. My current focus is trying to understand the ecological, demographic, and environmental drivers behind seasonal polio epidemics in both a historical and current context. I am also investigating intrinsic factors that make individuals susceptible to neurological disease in what would otherwise be an asymptomatic infection.
