Fields of study

Adaptive evolution and speciation

Research interests

Speciation is at the heart of evolutionary study. How species originate and are maintained is still very unclear. I'm interested in the underlying genetic mechanism of this process. I'm trying to find how the two opposite strengths of gene flow and adaptive selection operate in speciation. Especially, I'm interested in using population genetics to examine if there is gene flow, and to identify the loci being selected.
