Academic background
Oleksy received her B.S. in Environmental Science - Ecosystem Studies from the University of New Hampshire in May 2012. She spent two summers (2011 & 2012) researching the invasive diatom didymo, Didymosphenia geminata at the State University of New York in New Paltz before joining Dr. Duffy's disease ecology lab as a research lab technician.
