John Vandermeer, Asa Gray Distinguished University Professor and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology will explain how new findings in ecosystem dynamics can aid in understanding how agricultural systems can be organized to better control potential pests. The example of coffee production in southern Mexico will be used as a running example.
