Theoretical ecology, spatial ecology, population dynamics

Research interests
My current research interest is theoretical ecology. Specifically, my research is focused on developing ecological models that link models with data. One of my research areas is the incorporation of spatial heterogeneity in spatially explicit models throughout the use of satellite images.

I'm analyzing the spatial and temporal patterns of Cholera disease (Vibrio cholerae) in Bangladesh and India. I'm studying the patterns of spread of the disease by means of stochastic spatially explicit models. Previously, I used geostatistical and point pattern analysis tools, in order to improve the understanding of the dynamics of cholera from a static point of view (pattern analysis).
