'Fingerprinting' method tracks mercury emissions from coal
University of Michigan researchers, including Professor Joel Blum, have developed a new tool that uses natural "fingerprints" in coal to track down sources of mercury polluting the environment.

The research was published in the October 8 online issue of the journal Environmental Science & Technology. U-M News Service press release.
