The Eisenberg Institute will offer fellowship opportunities for University of Michigan Department of History faculty, graduate students, and recent Ph.D.'s. for the 2015-16 academic year.
Deadlines and notification vary according to fellowship type. Categories include:
- Faculty Fellowships: Release from teaching one Department of History course along with a $2,500 research grant; up to four fellows. Application details announced late December; awards announced in February/March.
- Graduate Student Research Fellowships: $5,000 research grant; up to six fellows. Application details announced in January; awards announced in March.
- Postdoctoral Fellowship: $41,000 salary, full benefits, and $2,000 research fund; includes two-course teaching obligation; one fellow. Application details announced in March/April; award announced in April/May.
All fellows are expected to actively participate in Institute programs and events. The Institute's fellowship programs have been made possible by a generous contribution from Kenneth and Frances Aftel Eisenberg.
