Funding Requests

 

The Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies supports funding proposals for conferences, symposia, workshops, visiting speakers, teaching-related activities, and other programs that enrich the community of historians at the University of Michigan.

To be considered for funding, all requests must be submitted using the Funding Request Form

Please keep in mind the following when submitting a funding request:

  • Those wishing to receive funding from EIHS must submit their proposals six weeks before the date of the proposed event/visit.  This will help to prevent haste on our part and will also ensure that EIHS is properly listed in event publicity.
  • EIHS does not support events that conflict with our own programming.
  • We do assess the value of the event to the community of historians at UM.
  • Please be advised that all funding proposals must be reviewed by the EIHS Steering Committee.  Therefore proposals submitted during the spring/summer term will not be reviewed until the Steering Committee reconvenes in the fall term.
