Mrinalini Sinha Presents "The Abolition of Indenture and the Space-Time of Global History"

Mrinalini Sinha, Alice Freeman Palmer Professor of History at the University of Michigan, continued the Eisenberg Institute's fall programming with the lecture, "The Abolition of Indenture and the Space-Time of Global History." Either this year, Professor Sinha was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for her project on the development of the Indian nation-state. The talk took place before a capacity audience of 98 in 1014 Tisch Hall.

Professor Sinha's lecture was part of the Institute's Thursday Speaker Series, which presents lectures relating to the current biennial theme, "Taking Place: History and Spatial Imaginations".
