    Jesús de Felipe Redondo is a Fulbright postdoctoral researcher and visiting scholar at the University of Michigan. He earned his Ph.D. (with special mention of Doctor Europeus) at the University of La Laguna (Spain). His fourth book, Trabajadores. Lenguaje y experiencia en la formación del movimiento obrero español (Workers. Language and Experience in the Formation of the Spanish Labor Movement, 2012) received an award from the Spanish Contemporary History Association. His current project examines the relationships between several European labor movements and the creation of interventionist states in 1870-1920, emphasizing the development of identities and actions based on the idea of social right.

    Dr. de Felipe-Redondo will be in residence at the Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies from May 2013 to January 2014.
