John Louis Recchiuti is author of Civic Engagement: Social Science and Progressive-Era Reform in New York City (2007). In 2009 he was Visiting Professor of History at University of Michigan and was a member of the May Seminar, “Thinking and Teaching in Global Dimensions,” co-directed by Professors Robert Bain and Douglas Northrop. Recchiuti, Saffell Endowed Chair in Humanities and Professor of History at University of Mount Union, was a Fulbright Specialist in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2013. He holds the doctorate from Columbia University where he taught for six years. He and his wife, Amy, have two children, Jack (13) and Elizabeth (7).
Professor Recchiuti will be in residence at the Eisenberg Institute for Historical Studies from January to June 2014.
