  Tarey is a native Michiganian (Michigander?) who comes to the ELI via Central America, where she served as a trainer of English language teachers for the United States Dept. of State in Guatemala and El Salvador from 2008-2010 and most recently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  

  In addition to her work as an intermittent lecturer in the ELI summer program from 2007 to 2011, Tarey presented workshops on assessment, classroom management, methods and materials development to English language teachers and has taught EFL/EAP and ESP writing to professionals in business, engineering, pharmacy, and law in Costa Rica, Egypt, Honduras, Hungary, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mexico, Syria, as well as at the University of Arizona, the University of Maine, the School for International Training (Vermont), and community colleges and public high schools in Vermont, Virginia, and Michigan.
