Fall Semester, 10-week course (1 Credit)

Develop oral fluency and communication skills for interacting in both formal and informal academic contexts. Learn language and discourse strategies needed to:

  • Ask and respond to questions
  • Express and elicit opinions
  • Respond to opposing viewpoints

Practice these via outside-of-class assigned interviews with native speakers, in-class discussions and (panel) presentations and other impromptu speaking activities.
