Winter Semester, 10-week course (1 Credit)

Practice and improve listening and speaking skills that support fluency and relationship building within the academic community. In this class, you will:

  • Identify and practice effective elements of informal conversational patterns
  • Learn how to more successfully negotiate misunderstandings
  • Participate with greater ease in discussions that include or ask for your point of view
  • Focus on how to develop all of these skills for informal and more formal interactions

Practice these via role-plays, fluency exercises, classroom discussions and presentations, many of which will be videotaped for analysis and feedback.
