Note: These costs are for the Summer 2013 sessions of the ELI summer programs.
Tuition and Fees — (paid in advance)
This amount includes program deposit (see below).
Course Materials — (to be purchased separately)
Books and other course materials are purchased separately at local bookstores.
Campus Recreation Fee (optional, to be paid after arrival)
This fee provides access to campus recreational facilities.
University Residence Hall (optional, available to undergrads only)
Residence hall includes a double room and nine meals per week.
* Program costs do not include health insurance. All students must have health insurance while in the United States.
Health insurance can be arranged through the University of Michigan International Center during the program orientation.
A deposit of $500.00 must be received when your application is submitted to be processed. The application deadline is May 10, 2013. This deposit applies to your tuition and is not refundable if you decide not to attend the program. The deposit will be refunded if you are not accepted to the program.
Tuition must be paid in full no later than June 3, 2013.
The English Language Institute is not responsible for exchange rate fees, bank charges or taxes.
Once we have processed your application, you will receive a packet of information regarding your participation in the program. For more information, please see the page 'After Your Application.'
If you are a sponsored student, you must provide the English Language Institute with a letter stating the terms of sponsorship, the name and e-mail address of a contact person at the sponsoring agency, and the mailing address to which the bill for tuition and fees should be sent.
